Olympic Games - Paris 2024
The African Olympic qualifier competition was held in Pretoria in December 2023.
Four climbers were selected to compete in Paris.
Mel Janse van Rensburg & Lauren Mukheibir will compete in Boulder and Lead
Josh Bruyns & Aniya Holder will compete in speed.
The Team Management
The SA Climbing team will be supported by a team manager and a coach who will travel to Paris and ensure that our athletes are supported in their logistical and training needs. The team was selected after a lengthy process of gathering applications and CVs and scrutinizing the applications.
Finally at an SANCF GM the exco voted on the team. We are confident that the team is capable and working together with this team will make the games as memorable for the athletes and the rest of the climbing community in South Africa.
