SA Youth Selection - Results
On Saturday 26 May 2012, on behalf of SANCF, Gauteng Climbing hosted a professional, well organised and successful 2nd Youth Selection for selection for the IFSC World Youth Championship to be held in Singapore from the 29th August to the 1September 2012, which ran like clockwork. It is pleasing to observe that the standard of climbing has risen substantially since our inaugural Selection Comp in 2011 with all climbers looking stronger and very confident on both the roof and with the new grips and volumes that Paul had introduced.

With many thanks to;
our Selectors Jackie, Paul and Candice whose report on each climber is well considered and insightful;
our Belayers - Johnny, JP and TI;
our Scorers - Meika, Ciska and Adinda;
and a special thanks to Paul, Candice and TI for setting the most amazing routes; and
to the Climbing Barn for hosting the event and for stripping all the walls so as to create an international competition environment.

Congratulations to the following Youth who will have 14 days from the announcement, i.e Monday 11th June 2012 to accept/reject their selection in writing to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
